Here at Ash Chimney Sweeps our specialty is cleaning fireplaces, wood stoves and their chimneys, in addition to chimneys for furnace's. The entire process takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is completely GUARANTEED MESS FREE.
Below is a description of the three most common chimney cleanings we perform:

FIREPLACE CLEANING
- A canvas tarp will be placed on the floor in front of the fireplace
- All equipments is placed on the tarp, including our industrial-power vacuum that is outfitted with a HEPA filter.
- From the roof, the technician will scrape the chimney flue with the proper-sized brush
- While on the roof, the technician will check the masonry condition of the chimney in addition to the flashing, crown and other chimneys like B-Vents (More info here)
- Back inside, the damper plate will be removed, where possible, to hand-brush & vacuum the smoke chamber walls and the smoke shelf.
- The damper is re-installed.
- Finally, ashes in the firebox are bagged for your disposal in the trash, or if available, in the compost/green bin.

WOOD STOVE CLEANING

All equipment is placed on the tarp, including our industrial-power vacuum that is outfitted with a HEPA filter
- From the roof, the technician will scrape the chimney flue with the proper sized brush.
- While on the roof, the technician will check the masonry condition of the chimney in addition to the flashing, crown and other chimneys like B-Vents.
- If the unit has a cleanout, the technician will remove any soot that is there.
- All stove and breech pipes will be removed so they can be hand-brushed & vacuumed individually.
- The inside of the stove, including baffle plates and catalytic combustors will be hand-brushed and vacuumed.
- Finally, ashes in the firebox are bagged for your disposal in the trash, or if available, compost/green bin.

Gas Furnace Chimneys
These units typically DO NOT require sweeping, but may need to be cleaned if large deposits are present due to a malfunction or if animals have nested.The cleaning procedure is similar to a wood stove cleaning.
| Oil Furnace Chimneys Cleaning is generally required every 2 to 4 years depending on the number of appliances and usage or if a blockage has occurred (i.e., animal nesting).The cleaning procedure is similar to a wood stove cleaning.A regular exam is also recommend.
