Our Chimney Cleaning Services
Fireplace Cleaning
Annual fireplace cleaning is recommended to maintain reliable and efficient operation. A canvas tarp is placed in front of the fireplace, and all equipment is kept on the tarp, including an industrial-grade HEPA-filter vacuum. From inside the home, technicians clean the chimney flue using a Rod Station Power Brush System. Where possible, the damper plate is removed to power-brush and vacuum the smoke chamber walls and smoke shelf, then reinstalled. Ashes are bagged for disposal or composting.
Wood Stove Cleaning
Wood-burning stoves require specialized cleaning to remove soot and creosote from the flue or liner. Using the same clean, indoor setup, technicians brush and vacuum stove pipes individually, clean baffle plates and catalytic combustors, and remove soot from cleanout doors where present. Ashes are carefully bagged at the end of the service.

Cobra Cleaning
(Chimney Deglazing)
Cobra cleaning is our in-house term for chimney deglazing, a specialized cleaning process used when a chimney has heavy, hardened creosote buildup, also known as glaze. This type of buildup is more difficult to remove with standard cleaning methods and can significantly increase the risk of chimney fires if left untreated.
How Does It Work?
Cobra cleaning requires special equipment and a more aggressive cleaning system designed specifically to break through hardened creosote. The service typically involves three technicians working together for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The goal is to remove the glaze and restore the chimney to a code-compliant condition, with the flue visible and no remaining glaze inside the chimney.
